Self Experiment
When you are learning something new alone, it can be difficult to see or track your progress. Self experimenting is a simple physiotherapy tool you can use to investigate your understanding of something or the impact of a self improvement routine by implementing an experiment.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mark your control with a short journaling entry, a photo, a video, a voice recording, or whatever medium you need to capture your current skill and understanding level.
Introduce an intervention: read a book, take a class, go for a walk, do something to improve your skill level.
Repeat your control test. Do the exact same thing for the same amount of time.
Analyze your results. What has changed?
If you don’t investigate the things you are doing for self improvement you might end up spending all your energy on meaningless actions. Make sure what you are doing actually works! (and isn’t making things worse)
